Key Words: Organic chemistry, total synthesis and new synthetic methodology
We are interested in the total synthesis of natural products. Compounds that possess medicinally relevant biological activity or are of unusual biosynthetic origin are chosen as targets. The synthesis of such molecules often requires the development of new synthetic methods and at present a range of processes for the construction of heterocycles are being developed.
